Sources disagree on the exact cutoff between 50 and 55 yards, so treat it as a range rather than a fixed number — it does not apply to shorter aggressive catches or contested grabs closer to the line.
It deactivates simply as downs go by once lit, meaning it is a short, use-it-now window rather than something to save for later in the drive.
MUT.GG lists it without a live real-player card, unlike Bazooka, Unstoppable Force and Wrecking Ball, which all have confirmed carriers — so there is no usage to point at as a reference case, and everything below is read off the ability rather than off play.
Forum discussion of receiver abilities generally prefers RAC 'Em Up over YAC 'Em Up for separation against press and man coverage — Mossed complements that as the occasional big-shot piece, not a per-play tool.
Opponents running that ability can wipe offensive zone progress, cutting a receiver out of the zone before the deep shot the ability depends on ever happens.
These abilities modify exactly the same 12 gameplay effects as Mossed — not a similar set, the same one. What separates them is the situation each one's own description names.
